The Salvation Army of Dane County assists families with children and single women who have become homeless or are at risk of losing their permanent housing by providing for their basic needs and helping them reach long-term stability through case management.
The facility at 630 E. Washington operates three types of shelter for the homeless: the
Single Women’s Shelter, an
Emergency Shelter/Warming House, and the
Family Shelter. The first two are designed as over-night shelter. The Family Shelter can care for families for up to 60 days. In addition,
Holly House serves single women without children as a transitional residence until they can become self-sufficient.
