Holly House opened on Christmas Day 2001 as a transitional home for single women who have become homeless due to economic hardship, abusive relationships, or substance abuse.
Holly House offers its residents a safe, substance-free environment. Each woman receives a furnished, private room and shares a fully equipped kitchen and lounge area with three other residents. She must pay a program fee and cover her own food costs and personal expenses.
The house can accommodate a maximum of eight women, and individuals may stay up to 24 months depending on their circumstances. Residents participate in mandatory case management services, learn life skills, and become self-supporting while in the program, as well as working toward achieving personal goals. A resident “graduates” from the program when she is able to maintain employment and permanent housing.
