The Salvation Army Food and Personal Essentials Pantry, located at 3030 Darbo Drive, is open to families and individuals who are residents of Dane County.

Food Pantry

Families choose their own groceries. The amount of non-perishable food each household takes home is determined by family size and is supplemented by additional choices of meat, pastries, bread, and produce. We believe that all adults deserve the dignity of choosing what foods they want for themselves and their families. Customers may “shop” the pantry once in a 30-day period.

Personal Essentials Pantry

As a PEPartnership agency, we provide products for personal and household hygeine, such as laundry soap, diapers and paper products.  Families are provided with a shopping list of available products and check off the items they currently need.  For more information on PEPartnership, please click here. 

Donations 

We feed about 125 families per week and depend on cash and in-kind donations from the community. Our stock of meat, groceries, household, and personal items has about a one-week rotation. Cash donations are especially welcome, as we are able to purchase items at a discounted rate.  To donate on-line, please click here and type  "Food Pantry" or "PEP" under "Specific Use".

• Meat expanders such as Hamburger Helper or Tuna Helper

• Laundry detergent
• Soap
• Toothpaste and toothbrushes
• Lotions
• Paper products, including toilet paper, facial tissue, paper towels 
• Diapers and baby wipes 
• Shampoo & conditioner
• Feminine hygiene products
• Household cleaning supplies
