From the beginning, The Salvation Army has expanded its capacity throughout the United States to provide food service in times of disaster. Whether it is a local incident or a major disaster, The Salvation Army staff and volunteers are often the first on the scene and the last to depart. This dedication honors a century-old commitment to serve those in need, at the time of need, and at the place of need. The red shield continues to be a beacon of compassion of immediate aid, psychological support, and spiritual counsel to people whose lives have been disrupted or shattered by forces beyond their control.
We need volunteers. If you or someone you know would like to give back to your community and have been looking for a way…this is it!
