Service Extension
The Salvation Army of Dane County works closely with volunteers in areas outside of the City of Madison through its Service Extension program. The program helps families and individuals who live within Dane County but who cannot travel to Madison to access services and resources. It also helps those who live outside of Madison remain in their communities by avoiding eviction or utility shut-offs.
Service Extension is designed to meet emergency needs. It is not intended as a regular supplement to a family's or individual’s budget. The amount of assistance the family or individual receives is determined by the local volunteer agent, with basic guidelines from The Salvation Army. Funding is limited and varies by community.
Service Extension is available in numerous communities, including but not limited to: Belleville, Black Earth, Boscobel, Brooklyn, Cambridge, Cottage Grove, Cross Plains, Deerfield, DeForest, McFarland, Middleton, Oregon, Stoughton, and Sun Prairie. Contact Martha at (608) 250-2223 |
