Army Lake Camp & Retreat Center
Just Miles Away, Yet A World Apart!

Army Lake Camp

The Salvation Army's Army Lake Camp sponsors a variety of programs designed to offer a fun, educational, and inspiring experience.  Each of our camps includes small and large group times for Bible study, reflection, and spiritual encouragement.  The program covers a wide variety of  activities, including climbing, swimming, canoeing, GPS/geocaching, camping skills, nature and ecology study, riflery, archery, crafts, music and  various sports.

Army Lake Camp consists of 200 acres of thick woodlands and grounds that feature a magnificent spring-fed lake and an array of state-of-the-art facilities.  Secluded and serene, the camp offers the perfect environment to learn and have fun.

Kids Camp

This camp will introduce our youngest campers to being away from home for the first time.  Campers choose from a variety of activities and will enjoy meeting new friends and learning new skills.

Music Conservatory

This week is designed for brass and vocal students with leadership potential.  Students will have individual and group instruction on their instrument or voice from experienced teachers.  They will learn composition and musicianship.  Students will be prepared to take on musical leadership role at their Corps and must be recommended by their Corps Officer.

Music Camp

Music camp is designed for campers who have been involved in singing or playing an instrument at their school or church within the past year.  Campers will be divided into various bands and choirs by audition.  Music theory, small group instruction, and large group performance are emphasized.  Campers also participate in typical camping activities in the afternoons. The week ends with a concert with parents encouraged to come and see their children perform. This is a music school and only those who are prepared to participate in all musical activities should attend. 

Junior Camp

This camp will be challenging to the camper with a few years of experience.  It is a great opportunity to meeting new friends and learn new skills.  Campers will be able to choose from a variety of activities such as high ropes, fishing, swimming, rock wall climbing, fire-starting, and more.

Family Camp

This camp is for families of all shapes and sizes!  Everyone will have the opportunity to take classes with other campers their own ages, and there will be family time.  Campers will be able to enjoy swimming, fishing, canoeing, crafts and other activities Army Lake has to offer.

Teen Camp

Teen campers enjoy an exciting week of building relationships, learning outdoor skills, sharing new experiences and growing in their faith.  Choose from a variety of camp activities including challenge courses, outdoor education, wilderness skills, water sports, crafts and much more. 

High Adventure Camp

This camp is limited to 20 campers. They learn outdoor skills while being challenged in a variety of adventure activities.  Some activities may include camping, rock climbing, mountain biking, and hiking.

Sports Camp

Sports camp is designed to introduce campers to different team sports.  Campers learning game rules and skills and then put them into practice in game play.  Campers may choose to focus on soccer, volleyball, softball or basketball in their morning sessions and then enjoy a large variety of camp activities in the afternoon.

Older Adults Camp

Activities are planned throughout the week that will allow campers to enjoy the outdoors.  Campers have time to swim, boat, fish, do crafts and enjoy good food and to just sit back and enjoy the beauty of Army Lake Camp.
