PROGRAMS
The Salvation Army of Dane County lives out its mission “to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination” through its many ministries that serve the community. It provides opportunities for worship, Bible study, and Christian fellowship as part of its Spiritual Ministry. Through its Youth Activities, it offers many youth, who might literally be left “out on the street”, a variety of recreational, educational and character-building choices. But The Salvation Army of Dane County is possibly best-known for the Social Services it provides our hungry and homeless neighbors. It offers them care, support and the hope of a better future. It also assures many county residents a brighter holiday by coordinating the community’s Christmas giving. All of this is made possible by the money, resources and time, generously given by supporters who know The Salvation Army will be there when help is needed.
